Description
The 674 vehicle parking garage that faces Collins Avenue is contained behind 7 levels of glass, aluminum and mesh panels. 2 levels of retail and 4 levels of residential units comprise the envelope of the building and cleverly disguise its contents from public view. Working closely with the City of Miami, as well as the Citys Historic Preservation department, BCA devised solutions to preserve the aesthetic integrity of the area by housing unsightly exterior features within the parking structure. Additionally, BCA was able to maximize the sites potential by working to execute this 3-for-1 concept that addresses the Citys need for off-street parking, urban housing and retail spaces.
